About Me

Dr. M. Siraj Uddin: Mohammed S. Uddin graduated from medical school in 1968 and completed his training in internal medicine and gastroenterology in New York. He published articles on various topics. Presently he is serving the city council as a member of the Board of Health. As a community member, he had the opportunity to organize the local Muslim communities and participated in building Islamic centers and writing constitutions. He served as president and treasurer of the boards and chairman of the Judiciary Committee. In his retirement, he devotes his time in "Understanding and Teaching Islam". His interest is Qur'an, Science and Spirituality. His writings include Far Beyond My Comprehension, Modern Medicine in the Light of Islam, and Hajj- a concourse of body, mind, and soul. He has published papers in Al-Jumu'a Magazine. Dr. Uddin believes that the Source of all knowledge is Allah (SWT); the Holy Book Qur'an is His Words to convey knowledge to mankind, and Prophet Muhammad (SAW) is the teacher and conveyer of that Message. The Qur'an, His Words, and the Creation, the manifestation of His Attributes, are the avenues to know Allah (SWT) without seeing Him in this life.
